Flagger Certification Training In April of 2008, the NCDOT approved the Flagger Qualification course and the Flagger Instructor Qualification course provided by Kellenberger Engineering, Inc. We are proud to offer these two courses in the NCDOT Work Zone Qualification Program to your firm, agency, or company. We also offer a qualification course in the use of Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFAD’s) to any Qualified Flagger. A Kellenberger Engineering Training Associate will come to your location and courses can be taught at any location in North Carolina that your company requests. Courses can be tailored to meet your company’s needs such as night and weekend classes. The NCDOT-approved Flagger Qualification course requires approximately two and a half hours of class room and parking lot/shop hands-on training with a performance evaluation of Flagger skills and a test with a passing score of 70 or better. No one-the-job (OJT) training is required. The NCDOT-approved Flagger Instructor Qualification Course requires the student to go through the Flagger Qualification course and an additional hour and a half of classroom instructions which immediately follows the Flagger Qualification portion of the course. The qualification process for your Flaggers and Flagger instructors will be handled by Kellenberger Engineering with cards issued to individuals. You will also have access to our Qualified Flaggers and Qualified Flagger Instructors on-line database directory.
